Our families, friends, and communities reach beyond geographical confines, extending around the world.  Here, at Hyla, we aspire to bring the world closer and inspire our students to become “agents of action” through the infusion of global content in our current curricula, which  reinforces our commitment to guiding our students to develop global awareness and cultural understanding.

Service Learning:  As part of our commitment to community, students will have numerous opportunities throughout their years at Hyla to engage in service learning opportunities.  These opportunities may include gardening projects in our school garden, designing more efficient recycling programs, or helping our elderly community on the island.  Using design thinking, students will identify projects that they feel are essential to the enhancement of our community.
